Purpose:   Ice-Cream Conenexion Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring superior guest service and the distribution of ice cream, pastries, and coffee. Job Level:   Supervisory
Summary:   The incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day HR activities of all clients.  Will be required to conduct regular site visits as may be required.

DUTY AND STANDARDS
80% of Responsibility GENERAL MANAGEMENT:

  • Ensure patrons’ visit and stay are memorable.
  • Ensure the store is always clean as per company guidelines.
  • Provide Cashiers with daily cash float prior to start of their shift.
  • Randomly check all money transactions and monitors activities at each Cashier and report any abnormal situation to immediate Supervisor.
  • Conduct checking-off process with the Cashiers.
  • Deposit accurate deposits of revenue on a daily basis.
  • Report to the immediate Supervisor any situation or development that might require action and resources to be implemented.
  • Records all the situations and significant events on the relevant forms.
  • Share in the responsibility for ensuring that Ice-Cream Conenexion’s store policies and procedures implemented are adhered to.
  • Checks and initials deposits being made for accuracy and completeness before placing lodgement book, cash, cheque/debit and credit card receipts in cash bag.
15% of Responsibility PURCHASING:

  • Actively monitor inventory and supply levels and communicate re-order levels to the immediate Supervisor.
  • Inspect all goods upon receipt.
  • Recommend new pastry items to be added to current stock.
5% of Responsibility HUMAN RESOURCE:

  • Ensures that adequate personnel are rostered for each shift.
  • Handle absences and time & attendance data.
  • Train and orientate new employees.
15% of Responsibility STAFF MOTIVATION, STAFF RETENTION AND TURNOVER:

  • Develop activities to increase staff retention and motivation and reduce staff turnover.

 

15% of Responsibility CASH FLOAT:

  • Provides Cashiers on shift with cash float and change at the start of and during their shifts.

 

Any other duties and responsibilities within the scope of the work to be performed.

High School Graduate with at least 3 CXC Passes in Math and English with grades 1 or 11 and a Diploma in Supervisory Management or 2 years supervisory experience preferably in a retail setting.

MUST HAVE FOOD HANDLERS PERMIT
