Plans, schedules and co-ordinators the implementation of appropriate maintenance programmes and activities to ensure that the Company’s plant and equipment are properly maintained to achieve the desired reliability and performance.
Plans, directs and controls the execution of projects for the Company to ensure that the desired safety, reliablity, integrity and specification of the project are established and achieved.
Ensures the implementation of established preventive and predictive maintenance programmes and schedules.
Ensure that corrective maintenance standards, procedures and specifications are achieved.
Monitors the work of external contractors to ensure compliance with specifications and contractual terms.
Assess the effectiveness of existing maintenance programmes and recommends adjustments as required.
Ensures the availablity and optimisation of the huma, physical and capital resources required to achieve and sustain the desried plant and equipment reliability levels.
Ensures engineerng compliance with established statutory, industry and regulatory practices and procedures.
Determines capital investments to sustain desired reliability levels, develops relevant proposals and manages approved projects.
Prepares engineering reports and studies required by the job function.
Prepares and administers technical expense budget.
Provides technical advice and guidance to subordinates so as to maintain effective levels of productivity.
Ensures that subordinates comply with established disciplinary, attendance and punctuality standards.
Provides on-the-job training for maintenance technicians and machine operators in running packaging machines.
Performs any other duties related duties as required by the job function
First Degree or equivalent accreditation in an appropriate engineering discipline.
Five (5) years post qualification experience in a similar or related function.
Sound Knowledge of electromechanical engineering and maintenance
Sound knowledge of the baking and packages equipment
Sound knowledge of related statutory, industry and regulatory practices and procedures
Sound knowledge of Project Management principles and practices.
